How to buy Bitcoin
In short: You can buy bitcoin on a registered crypto platform, usually by bank transfer or card, and buy a fraction (no need for a whole bitcoin). Another option is exchange-traded products that track its price.
On a crypto platform
Open an account, verify your identity, transfer money, then buy. Compare purchase fees, spreads and withdrawal fees.
Through the stock market
Listed products (ETFs in the US, ETNs in Europe) track bitcoin's price. You don't hold the bitcoin itself, but you don't need a crypto wallet.
Buying a fraction
One bitcoin divides into 100 million "satoshis". Buying $20 worth of bitcoin is possible.
